The part that gets me isn't necessarily the unsanitary nature of the whole thing. You could prepare it in a way that's probably fine if you wanted to. What gets me is the social positioning of putting same sex people face to face, inches to inches from each other simulating kissing of sorts/intimate oral contact with only the Plexiglass as a barrier.
In psychology, when you're trying to break down a fear, you slowly expose people to the stimulus in safe ways until they're willing to engage without the fear. This looks like CBT/conditioning to promote homosexual behavior.
