"Damn. My husband mentioned something about a cricket factory and how they're trying to get more people to be okay with eating crickets... Where exactly is he getting this information?? It must be the same online source as my husband." HOLY SHIT. It was on CBC, FFS! IMAGINE being this low-info!

A lot of these threads. The one the other day supposedly about the husband and wife on opposite sides of the covid issue, it amazed me that the two of them wrote so similarly. Almost identical college style paragraphs and perfect punctuation, same intonation, same word selection.
There's a lot of foolishness around GPT. People think they can "use" a language model to accomplish what they couldn't before. They don't realize how obvious it all is.. any tool in the hand of someone inexperienced produces amateur results.
What's curious, though, is all these threads are about two people on opposite sides of a "conspiratorial" issue. They definitely enjoy sowing division among people. These are, in every imaginable way, the modern dark ages.
When I say GPT I am referring to actual AI controlled accounts.
What you witnessed is likely AI tech as well.
ChatGPT is talking to itself in order to trick the masses into believing fiction to influence real life?
GPT in general, multiple instances converging. There is a theory that the real internet we knew is long gone and at least 90% are AI initiatives - from blog comments to articles and social media.
It is one big circle jerk of fake activity used mostly to sway public opinion.
a combination of user-input and AI-independent-actions?
I mean, let's not be in total denial though. There are many examples of real life "casualties". Just on GAW alone almost everyone has lost family and friends over their inability to listen when we tried to save them. Divorces happened. Children were taken. Every manner of destruction that can be brought on a proud man has been visited. Jobs, friends, and family. Hell we talk about it around certain holidays every year here. So we know this is what they say about us irl and in the media. Why not in message boards they like?
