I'm inclined to believe this, too. The younger a male is castrated, the taller they tend to be. That's because the growth plates in the arms and legs are slower to close and grow longer. MJ was very tall and willowy looking and had a very high singing and speaking voice all his life.
Fun Fact: Horse breeders don't usually geld colts until they're over two years of age, so that they can gain some maturity and look a little stronger and more muscled. But when a colt is gelded at less than a year old, he grows up to be VERY tall and slender and feminine looking. Same thing: Growth plates in the legs closing later, and no male development of the lower jaw and neck like a stallion. They're beautiful, and perfectly healthy, but it really stands out when you happen to see one.
That's still taller than a lot of the guys he performed with. The point is that he was taller than he would have been otherwise and had very little of a "manly" look about him, such as the neck, jaw and shoulders. It isn't proof but it's one more thing that points to his possibly being a castrato.
Yup. And once you geld a colt the mane stops growing. Sort of irritating to me how obvious it is that someone hurried up and gelded even a yearling for convenience sake. Weaker necks and short manes. Not so attractive. This is a real problem with Gaited horse breeders in southern states. The long full beautiful manes are on the males ungelded til later, and on the mares. There. I vented. Lol.

Sorry, I do not buy in to this.
Jermaine - 6'1"
Jackie - 6'0"
Tito and Michael - 5'9"
Marlon and Randy - 5'8"
What makes you believe he was taller than he would have otherwise been when he's basically the same height as his siblings?
It isn't just the height alone, though that's part of it. It's the proportions and lack of male secondary sex characteristics. Look again.
Proud cut.
Maybe. Yes, I know what that means, too.
Hello horsey fren.
I think there are more than a few of us on here!
