"In 1972, Rothstein arrested one of the five Watergate burglars, CIA operative Frank Sturgis. "
UM, no.
Why would a NYPD police detective be in involved in arrested a group of burglars in Washington, DC?
And "one of the five?" All five burglars were arrested at the Watergate office building. Together. The same night. And we know the cops who did it. The DC cops obviously.
And we know, none of the burglars confessed during interrogation. The plan was they were to plead guilty and shut up. And they did.
This doesn't make any sense at all

This does not add up.
looking into this I'm not convinced Detective Rothstein ever made such a claim.
This claim seems only seems to come from Fiona Barnett of Australia and is not first hand.
This is why nobody ever heard of this before.
I know for a fact Rothstein did not arrest Frank Sturgis in 1972.
