Ha! I kid you not I gotinto an hour argument with ChatGPT last night about masks. I asked it to give me 15 peer reviewed studies showing masks are ineffective against Covid. It wouldn’t.
I then proceeded to share - one by one - with it the 47 links to those peer reviewed studies that can be found in this site. Took me almost an hour. I watched it move goal posts, special plead, and many other side stepping behaviors in order to avoid any conclusions saying masks are useless. UNTIL I fed it the Cochran study. Here’s what it said:
Notice the special pleading there at the end? Regardless, it FINALLY admitted that a study was legit and credible.
Me: “ Does this reliable and credible source draw a conclusion that is contrary to your previous statements?”
Chatgpt: Yes, the updated Cochrane review finding no evidence for the effectiveness of medical masks or N95 masks against SARS-CoV-2 or influenza virus contradicts some of the previous statements made regarding the effectiveness of masks. It is important to note that scientific research is an ongoing process and updates and revisions to studies can occur as new information becomes available.
Me: So if I ask you to give me a credible and reliable study showing the ineffectiveness of masks, you will have one to provide, correct?
Chatgpt: Yes, that's correct. The updated Cochrane review I mentioned earlier found no evidence for the effectiveness of medical masks or N95 masks against SARS-CoV-2 or influenza virus. However, it's important to note that the review also states that these findings should not be interpreted as evidence that face masks are ineffective in all settings or against all respiratory viruses. The effectiveness of face masks can vary depending on factors such as the type of mask, the setting, and the behavior of the wearer.
Still try’s to squirm it’s way out. I didn’t care at that point. I won! Lol
Can't wait for truthGPT.
