The question should be: This candidate is homosexual or some other form of not-normal. I am normal. Would this person be the best choice to represent normal people? Their values and probably morals probably do not match my own, so could I reasonably expect them to "see things my way"? Add in religious beliefs and you and the candidate are doubtless on different wavelengths. Homosexuality is now and always has been condemned in all three major religions. Find someone else to back, or even better, run yourself.
