The writers strike of today sure does seem similar to the one of 2007.

The only difference is that the people fighting the strike this time around are all the wokies trying ensure they have a job for years to come.
I look forward to having this meme return.
There's another writer's strike going on? I didn't even notice.
Yeah. Basically, the wokies know their jobs are about to disappear as get woke go broke has destroyed the industry.
Now, they are striking and their demands equate to:
They are about to get fired, so they are all going on strike to pre-empt their termination in a bid essentially secure their jobs and their writer's room culture.
Most companies however already know the score. Netflix for example has stated they are just going to import more shows like Squid Games and go abroad for writers to circumvent the strike.
At least the strike in 2007 that birthed this meme had a degree of talent. That was the generation that gave us the Sopranos, Breaking Bad, and other shows like it. This generation has no talent, and the destruction of our movie/television industry and more importantly the infestation of woke ideology voluntarily leaving the building just seems like all win.
A generation of writers who were never told they suck are striking. Lol, the comedy writes itself.
Hated breaking bad because of the meth/centric theme
Well said!!
Things always have gotten crazy when there is a writer's strike in the industry. Everybody loses their minds, even when it has nothing to do with the current ramifications. I was there for one of the writer's strikes. You would see these people wandering into coffee shops and they looked like shit, the classic, "Morning after the night before". Everybody was scared to death, it was obvious. This one now, is probably the worst one could ever be, Doomsday for sure. How odd that writer's don't get paid much compared to other jobs out there when they are obviously the very lifeblood of the creative side. Wow. What power.
Wasn't a writer's strike how we got the current influx of reality tv?
Given that most of the Hollywood writers these days are talentless nepo babies who can't tell their ass from the elbow let alone write a satisfying character arc, maybe we'll get lucky and this one will be another factor that helps collapse the Entertainment complex.
