In response to updated federal and state guidelines on COVID-19, __________ University will strongly recommend, but no longer require, employees and students to be vaccinated against the virus, effective June 1, 2023.
The University is updating its requirements to strongly recommend vaccinations, following President Biden’s recent decision to end the COVID-19 national health emergency as well as the scaling back of various health protocols in New Jersey, including mask mandates in healthcare settings, amid declines in cases.
The University will continue to monitor all state and federal health guidance and reserves the right to change its protocols as needed to protect the health and safety of the campus.
Members of the campus community who test positive for COVID-19 should continue to follow guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and stay home for at least five days to isolate themselves from others.
All members of the campus community are strongly encouraged to get vaccinated to protect their own health and the health of those around them. Further information about vaccinations can be found on the CDC website.
The University is grateful to the entire campus community for its support and cooperation in following COVID protocols over the past three years.
