“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”
There's a job I've wanted to get for many years, which I've been terrified to go for because it could utterly humiliate me publicly if I screw it up. But if I succeed, this board could have an ally in the most surprising of places.
And when I remembered this quote a few days ago, I made the decision to go for it.
Lofty thinking, I know. I shouldn't count my chickens before they hatch. And, of course, I can't tell you what the job is, because that would dox myself. Obviously, saying my name is right out.
But never forget: GAW has friends in more areas than you'd think.
