Already happeneing. Many of the open source models are being trained with data generated from ChatGPT. Basically they write scripts to ask questions to ChatGPT, collect the answers, then feed it to the open source model training and create a new model thats better. Viola.

AI is by far the one technology thats making incumbents obsolete at a rapid scale.
