Screw it. Let them find out for themselves, and just be there for them when the world that they knew comes crashing down around them. My go-to statement these days is, "Now watch what happens." and I don't elaborate any further. I've tried to explain things in the past, but everyone has become very scared to move away from comfortable, feel-goody thinking.
