Has anyone seen alot of dogs getting killed while on a leash or under owners control? Im a dog owner and its upsetting but then i realized... comms?

The consensus was that dogs are comms for handlers.
I know like handlers kill the dogs? Or dog need to be put down. Ol yeller style?
When it comes to optics, I am not sure what the exact mechanism is. Do you actually kill the dog, or do they just spread the news? Does the dog even exist?
I am starting to think the dog is also a character.
