Children know when they are rejected by their parents; and when their parents have permitted a spirit of rejection to be unleashed upon them it's horrible. She needs to pray that off of him, and affirm her love. Two is when emotions kick in... a child needs to be shepherded through that. God, please turn the heart of this mother toward her child and fill her with lovingkindness. Amen.
