I’m 56. I’ve endured many conversations about the millennial new name for “Karen’s” which is supposed to represent my age group or younger generation who ‘behave,’ like a “Karen!”
The fundamental change, I see in the workplace, which no one seems to be talking about is mental illnesses !
I can see entitlement, it flows from my generation to millennials. I see it with elderly and anyone who has a moment of entitlement.
However, what I am seeing that seems to be more characteristic of their generation is mental illness. Autism, high functioning, autism, mental illness, low IQ sensitivity to emotion. It all seems to be characteristic of this generation.
Communication is not there strong point! Anyone else dealing with this in a daily basis?
I am seeing it in my workplace, I’m seeing it at restaurants with staff, at any type of service industry, it seems to be quite prevalent!
You have no idea how helpless (yet unwilling to act) these people really are: https://www.reddit.com/r/internetparents/ or https://www.reddit.com/r/Adulting/ or https://www.reddit.com/r/JUSTNOFAMILY/ or https://www.reddit.com/r/antiwork/
ffs I clicked on a couple of those. Really sad. You know, but I really want to ask them, what do you eat? What medicine are you taking? Do you exercise and how much? etc. Basic stuff. It's sad.
Yeah. I agree. It's like you had a kid, but you didn't interact with him at all, and now the kid is all grown-up but does not know how to do anything.
