New at PHX Sky Harbor Intl., it appeared as if they were actually training TSA on the new facial recognition system at airport security now, FYI they don't tell you its optional, they just quickly herd everyone through as if its mandatory.
I asked questions;
Me: What is this for?
TSA: ID
Me: isn’t that why I hand you my ID card?
Me: is this not optional?
TSA: You just have to ask for the camera to be turned off, do you want the camera off?
Me: yes, turn the camera off.
All you have to do is say turn the camera off, then they have to match you to your ID picture, just like they've always done. When they turned off the camera, it locked up the system and fouled the checkpoint station, I had to move to another station. DO NOT COMPLY! make them turn off the camera, and interrupt their bullshit operation. TSA procedures are all unconstitutional, Patriot Act is based on lies, DS killed a bunch of Americans on 911 to launch their “security”agenda. Safe travels Patriots.
Public Service Announcement. If any of you vape, and also opt out of the scanners when you travel - take the extra time to go wash your hands and wipe down anything that may have any vape residue on it before you go get your pat-down.
I learned that lesson one trip when I had my vape juice spill on my hands, and of course I touched my laptop, luggage, and pretty much everything else they will look at (even my ID).
If you didn't know, vape juice includes vegetable glycerin. Know what else has glycerin in it? Nitro-glycerin. You know - the explosive. Their idiotic chemical system doesn't know the difference. I also found out a lot of black people use skin lotion due to dry skin and they trip the alarm during pat-downs as well if they recently used their lotion.
I didn't miss my flight (came close) but it took me 40 minutes to get out of the TSA back room area. They put me in a room while they tested everything I had. The one guy freaked out when he brought me one of my juice containers (homemade) and asked what it was, and I proceeded to drip some in my mouth. I pointed out I wouldn't do that if it was an explosive.
Good info!
