I'm setting out know to listen (I rip Defected into an audio file and listen offline while doing other activities). They invariably put out LONG podcasts, so this may take me a few days to go through.
I'll see if I can grab a few points to throw up here. However, I know these boys now and they have a SOLID track record, which is why I had no qualms about posting the Defected link pre-listening.
One thing I can say: the lads are very good, and BB especially, at looking at an event or information, and taking a 'bicameral' view. That is, looking at something as if it is A, but also looking at it as if it is B. Generally too, they emphasize overall 'net effect' when evaluating narrative (and actual) events.
For example, at this juncture, we simply cannot know whether in fact devolution was put in place by Trump, even though the circumstantial evidence seems to overwhelmingly point to that. However, regardless of devolution, Joe Biden's administration is waking up Americans to a massive extent.
I think they are certainly taking the time to listen to, because its not just about the information. It's about training ourselves to 'defect' from the propaganda and the programming that everyone (including many maga and GA influences) is attempting to lay on us.
i am a huge fan of Defected. Its my favorite mental playtime workout treat.
I listened to this episode and did note that neither JH or BB were basing their guesses on already known and vetted data points that make kayfabe far less likely imo.
However, to avoid ruling anything out I have adopted President Trumps "that's interesting, lets see what happens" attitude.
Well, in practical terms (net effect) what does it mean to say "Ron DeSanctimonious and his Brigade of paid shills and political operatives are my adversaries"?
Firstly, if it IS kayfabe, then the paid shills plus the Con Inc who shill for Rob are not in on it, and are being exposed anyway.
Secondly, if it is Kayfabe, would this mean that you do anything substantially different? Whether the ROb show is kayfabe or not, I don't see how that would change my unequivocal support for DJT. Even thinking (or accepting) that the Rob show is kayfabe doesn't mean I start saying Robs a great guy, he's good, maybe I'll even vote for him.
So when you say "are my adversaries" doesn't that simply mean only that in practical terms, you adopt a negative emotional attachment to Rob et al? Does this do anything to advance DJTs agenda, maga agenda? I don't see how so.
If there is one important point to analysing and attempting to evaluate the reality behind the surface layer (i.e. is this kayfabe or not kayfabe?), it's the learning to remain detached from the narrative spins. Such a lack of attachment doesn't have a negative impact on supporting DJT etc, but rather, has a potential positive impact because if you can encourage others to adopt the same approach, more people defect from the narratives and start to think for themselves, instead of following the programming.
However, if by "are my adversaries" you mean, not in an emotional way, but rather, I'm going to play along with DJT's narratives about DeSantis, and support his efforts and messaging in this area, then I think that's a reasonable choice.
It's only adopting a negative emotional attachment that I think would be unhelpful and eventually less than constructive. They call their podcast 'defected' but I think that 'detachment' is an important part of accomplishing disengagement from the narrative propaganda. One does not need to adopt an negative animosity towards DeSantis in order to support and boost DJT, right?
Ultimately, however, whatever the case, personally, I think one has to take clear stock of the fact that DJT is using his rhetoric and spinning his narratives for a specific, targeted purpose. Whatever the reality behind the scenes, I don't think we should be taking those narratives and rhetoric simply at face value, simply because I don't believe for a second that Trump means them at face value. There is always more to it, regardless of whether DeSantis is what DJT portrays him as or not.
got a TLDR/listen summary that captures gist?

Exactly. Detachment. Meanwhile, go MAGA.
Kayfabe is real.
But not in all cases.
Time will tell. I'm willing to see what happens.
In the meantime, I'm comfy letting God be my protector and letting President Trump be my ships captain during these psywar storms.
Consequently, until President Trump says otherwise, Ron DeSanctimonious and his Brigade of paid shills and political operatives are my adversaries.
