I’m Catholic and have a hard time believing this.
I'd like to see it as percentages. Like 201 / # of kids that go to Catholic churches VS 29000 / # of kids that go to public schools. That would be a more fair comparison I would think. 🤷♀️
The rate of confirmed pedophilia among priests has always been lower then in the general population.
The rate in the church now should be close to zero as there are no opportunities. Everything and everyone is fairly well monitored.
Most if not all of that "201" is allegations of abuse from twenty years ago which can't be disproved.
Maybe you are right. They made big improvements. 201 just seems really low but perhaps that’s because it’s an average.
It seems really low because the media has led you to believe that every Priest is a pedophile.
