Yes it is. We can flip this month into something positive though. We have the people to do it
Some people got sold on the "pride" part because they felt bad about themselves. This goes back at least 50 years to the "self-esteem" movement in sociology--postulating that all kinds of bad behavior and resultant social problems came from low self esteem. There is a basic need to turn people to a path where they can feel good about themselves. Flaunting the traits that put them at odds with others isn't the way, though. It's provoking a fight.

My son's soccer club rents fields for practice from an expensive K-12 academy in Massachusetts. It's not too far from Cape Cod so most house prices are over $750k. I couldn't believe how many houses had pride signs, "Love is Love" BLM etc all over the place.
These people must be virtue signalling to their neighbors. It's the new way of "Keeping up with the Jones's ".
They are signaling that they support the downtrodden, they THINK. They THINK this is a virtue. This has to change. First, BLM and the alphabet mafia aren't downtrodden. Second, supporting them is supporting people who don't reciprocate and are potentially downright dangerous. Third, there are more downtrodden people who are more worthy of support. All these angles of undermining their virtue signaling avoid getting into religious arguments.
