Day 1 of me spending nothing and being happy.
š„ THIS IS THE WAY. š„
I have zero active subscriptions, digital or otherwise going into June. Not eating out at all either. With three freezers full of meat, bread to last the month, and milk restocked ahead of time, the only likely out of pocket expense for me in these 30 days will be fuel. I prepaid any bills for utilities and whatnot, so my transactions for this month should literally be zero.
This will be a fascinating experiment on just what I can in fact live without regardless.
Since I've been eating processed and genetically modified foods all my life, my stomach is damaged and I must live on a very restrictive diet. No more processed foods. I make my own bread out of an Ethiopian flour called teff, and I mix my own coconut milk. I eat steaks, eggs, and I make burgers out of grass fed beef. I'll soon experiment with making my own dairy-free cheese and yogurt from coconut milk. I've lost bodyfat around my midsection while eating the same large portions I always have.
Great stuff. I have a list of things Iām trying to do myself, like making bread. Initial results are terrible, but getting better. Made my own organic mayo successfully and making tomato sauce from garden tomatoes for the first time this year. Also learning how to make my own jam with store bought ingredients. Next year will grow my own berries and start a beehive for honey.
That's great. Homemade mayo is the norm in France. I thought mayo was disgusting until I had homemade, then found it can be amazing. You should like into homemade cheese and yogurt too. It's very simple, you just need to buy the bacteria cultures.
