Even with all of these abuses and usurpations - and more - the United States of America is still genuinely the best country in the world and YOU have the power to make it better. Local action = national impact.
What abuses and usurpations would you add to the list?
And how are you planning to take action on a local level?
Founding of the DEPT OF EDUCATION 1866. Government (NOT public) schools. THEIR version of truth, THEIR emphasis on prescribed curriculum. Testing (research THIS sweet deal in your district) Usurping parents. Running amuck with taxes (Our hard earned $$$$) Aren’t we DONE with public schools and government overreach yet?
It is property tax season in Texas. We are being overrun by mouths to feed and ALL the kiddies want to go to the school. About time to cue up another round of back to school supplies for those less fortunate and get a recorded “summer hours/unavailable” recording at the ISD office. I sincerely predict pitchforks in the very near future. People are hot.
We actually left Texas after 45 years (off and on - military.) Too crowded and the property taxes pushed us over the edge.
Government schools are quite arguably the most devastating institution in global society. Young people should be out PLAYING with other young people, exploring their interests and becoming acclimated to the world.

Always fight your taxes. People are getting screwed because no one's fighting their taxes anymore.
Also, dont get those stupid companies that send you mailers to fight it. They don't do anything. Fight it yourself. I lowered my last year and will do it again.
