you've got it backwards. it seriously affects the intended target, and barely impacts the employees.
they can't be forced to work harder or longer. they can't be underpaid. they just have to spend their day doing tasks which aren't productive to the company.
It doesn't harm corporate at all. You clearly have no idea how these companies operate. They plan losses like this into their budget and can write them off on their taxes.
