I used to work for ICE. They had a secure facilities initiative back in like 07, 08 with their new building. I forgot my badge one day and tested it, walked right by security around a side hallway and had access to most of the building. Told my boss about it. They never corrected it, months later I was able to do it again. It was like something out of a Fletch movie.
I work a government job and when something bad happens, like the San Bernardino shooting, people say "where's the video" and I'm thinking - there aren't any video cameras in any government building I have ever worked in.
Not only that, but we had a co-worker who had a birthday and we had a cake in the break room with lit candles and I was worried that the candles might set off the sprinklers and I was told "Don't worry - those sprinklers aren't hooked up to any water supply."
