Why is it that it’s easy to tell when someone is a soulless automaton ghoul? It’s weird. You can just about tell by looking at someone’s eyes whether or not they’re a complete creep.
I thought the same exact thing watching that npc lol.
So, Funny story about that. My daughter, back when she was 4 years old, came up to me one day, out of the blue and unprompted and asked me if all humans were human/real or only some of them. I told her that was a funny question, and asked what made her ask it and she replied that she thinks some humans arent real, like robots. She went on to explain that she thinks they don't even know that they're not real/ human. I asked if she's seen one recently and she replied yes, there's lots of them.
She has brought this up only twice more in the years since, and her explanation has been exactly the same both times since. I think about it from time to time and it still creeps me out kek.
It’s so weird. They look empty. Eyes as hollow as any void you can find. Facial expressions that say things in monotone. No real “life” to them as your daughter so thoughtfully pointed out. I’m sure kids are more sensitive to it as they are everything else. I think it’s sad because I know for a fact that are like that now weren’t always that way.
