As a kid, 7th grade in the 70’s, my cousin in Florida went missing in a small plane with friends. They had it as a Bermuda Triangle story until weeks/months later, someone was fishing in a lake and hooked on something. They knew it was a mud bottom and he knew something was there. Turned out to be the plane. Said it went vertical and stuck in the bottom. Makes me think most stories are just lost in rough seas or planes that went down and not found. Storms kick up fast there and probably gps, radios, satellite forecasts have gotten better over the years or didn’t exist back then.
