To clarify, Starlink limits the number of users so that they can provide fast internet. Ukraine had zero users, so they could send a bunch of units there and they'll still have fast internet (Ukraine is a huge country).
Like your area, our area has a long wait list. But unlike your area, Starlink is the same as the other internet service providers in our area. Spectrum has doubled our rate in the last year, and apparently the other providers in our area have, too.
Where I am in Alaska, Starlink is exactly $1 more than our regular - i.e., crappy - provider. I'm tempted.
