This is an excerpt from a book analyzing Sartre's writing from the decade from 1950-1960 after his time in occupied France.

I found most of that text to be unintelligible. I say that as a Copy Editor and native English speaker.
I'm sorry to hear about that. Inability to parse a text doesn't make the text itself unintelligible, however.
I know a copy editor who doesn't understand fractions. This fact doesn't mean that fractions aren't intelligible.
Is there a particular part that doesn't make sense? I don't believe that none of it makes sense to you.
