GIDS was in turmoil and dealing with a new cohort of distressed young women with gender dysphoria; the number of girls jumped 5,000 per cent in a seven-year period. Cass found there were no long-term follow-ups even though nearly every child who was referred for prescribed puberty blockers went on to cross-sex hormones
Translation: they were sterilized.
All those girls that went on puberty blockers followed by cross-sex hormones are now permanently sterilized. Most probably don't yet realize the ramifications of that.
There are several lies spread about puberty blockers. One is that you can get your fertility back once you stop them. It depends.
Puberty comes in waves. The timing of each wave is different. If a person with a very late puberty stops them in time then it's still possible to get their fertility. However, if they don't stop them before that window closes then they have missed puberty and that's it. It's over.
Yet medical professions try to push the lie that you can just fix that with drugs and reverse it. NO.
Puberty is time-limited. Miss it and it's gone for good.
most child patients who identified as transgender were actually on the autism spectrum or suffering from borderline personality disorder, which she believes should be classified as part of the autism spectrum. Autistic adolescents are particularly prone to obsessive thinking and body image issues, and they struggle to change their minds once convinced something is true, all of which make them more vulnerable to being convinced they are actually the opposite sex and should seek medical interventions such as puberty blockers or hormones.
“Blocking the sexual development of children is a highly authoritarian intervention. Children are asexual, and so they can’t understand the impact of impaired sexual functioning, she said. “We are roughly 10 years into this large-scale experiment and already we have reports on issues with cognitive development, bone mineral density, and fertility. All the up-to-date evidence shows that puberty blockers are neither safe nor reversible.” “We were wrong. They’re not as reversible as we always thought, and they have longer term effects on kids’ growth and development
Hormonal puberty blockers are NOT TEMPORARY. Once you start the process of stopping puberty, you cannot gain that time back. Ever. Those who start these drugs at age 10-12 are risking the development of any of their sex organs, compromising fertility, and at the rate of de-transitioning that tends to occur, they do not realize that they have potentially removed their option to have children in the future. They may never have sexual function. Kids do not understand the role of a sexual relationship yet, and parents who enable this therapy are doing grave potential harm. I would not want to be the parent of a 12 year old giving consent to puberty blockers, and have to deal with the fallout 10 years from now when they realize what a horrible mistake it was, and they ask their parent why they didn’t intervene and stop them.
They keep pushing the lie that puberty can come back. It can't.
The worst of it all is that the comment drug they use to block puberty in girls is lupron. Lupron has been used in IVF treatments for ages. It's a horrible drug. They've sealed all the lawsuits about how bad it is and what it really does to bones.
You are about to have tens of thousands of broken, sterilized and very damaged adults.
