A California man who has documented San Francisco's drug and crime crises for years says the city may be the first domino in the "decline of Western civilization."

Friends of mine who have moved here (east Tennessee) from Chicago and Long Island, NY, say the same thing. No real desire to go back, and they find it hard to believe that such a place as "God's country" here could even exist today, coming as they did from such barbaric and soulless places.
