Until humanity has evolved past using the Way of the Cross as its primary evolutionary tool then I agree that we must be taking a huge evolutionary step forward right now. We are at a very tangible precipice. And, it's very hair raising to see what's happening to our country. However, I believe humanity will evolve (grow up!) to the point where pain will not be needed to move humanity forward in consciousness. The truth sets us free ultimately not the precipice.
