Agreed. In fact I’d take it a step further. Reads to me that he’s suggesting that not only is he a son of God, but that we all are.

“Is it not written in your law ‘I have said, ye are Gods, children of the most high’?”

“According to your faith be it done unto you.”

“Thy faith hath made thee whole.”

“Be ye therefore perfect, even as thy Father in heaven is perfect.”

“You are the salt of the earth.”

“You are the light of the world.”

“But I say unto you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.”

Don’t tell Paul that, though. Would ruin all the idolatry he created. Nobody likes all that personal responsibility stuff anyway.
