I will tell you the major problem in the U.S.: not prosecuting and punishing those appropriately for crimes. Singapore doles our punishment swiftly and appropriately: you steal something, they chop off your hand. So in the U.S., if you stab someone to death, tie them to a post and execute them via a knife. You rob or steal, cut off their hands. You area male and you rape, geld the rapist. You kill children, you are slowly hung. You traffic drugs, weapons or humans, firing squad. You enter illegally: you are automatically deported, 2nd entry-20 years in prison, 3rd entry-life. No chance of ever having legal U.S. citizenship, no birth is a U.S. citizen. You are deported, so is your child I don’t care if they were born here and lived here 15 years. Tough shit. Absolutely no free education, no food, housing health care and no professional license issued ( no M.D., no R. N., no law license, etc.). You came illegally, you are entitled to nothing, including a work permit. And if you are a citizen and committed a crime, the prison system and taxpayers are not obligated to pay for expensive sex change surgeries, so you can be placed in the opposite sex prison. This is not a necessity. You get basic care. We are not obliged to pay for chemo if you have cancer and are imprisoned for life.

I agree wholeheartedly.
I despise how soft the US is on criminals.
