Yes but I really doubt how many can fix a toaster. When my dad died there was an old Frigidaire in the garage. Still worked. In 1978 that frig was at least 50 years old. I am proud if a $4000 frig lasts 10 years.
I remember "Made in the U.S.A" was the rage. Stanley Tool was the standard. You have a set of Stanley, do not get rid of it. It lasts forever.
Just like you said, Frigidaire. I have a freezer from my mom, it has been here for 18 years now but she had it for over 20+ before that. The newer ones, last me ten years.
I remember when all the stuff were made in Taiwan before. They all broke down in less than a year.
