That's an interesting choice of words:
"No one at the company..."
Meaning, possibly, that someone who didn't work for the company put the code in there? FBI? CIA? Anything was possible at Twitter 1.0...
or it implicates one of the fired far lefties that used to work there
Well to be fair he also nuked most of the staff, so...
well... it's DARPA, after all.
Just like fakebook. The clowns in America shut down their little profiling program the day they put out Facebook. Sorry I don’t have sauce. At work all the fucking time dammit. That’s what happens when you work all the time you don’t have time for sauce for your chicken nuggets or fries you just shove them down your gullet as you’re going to the next call kek.
It was Life Log. The day it was closed down, Facebook started. DARPA/Pentagon program to collect Information on every single American. https://www.military.com/defensetech/2004/02/04/lifelog-dead
MY MANS WITH THE SAUCE!
A.I.?
Yup another possibility!
Well actually that would be a fascinating followup question: was the suppression alg in company version control? Is Twitter running any code that is written externally? How secure is their DevOps setup?
I could also imagine a downstream team--say a team involved in caching or translating content, or maybe an ads team--might add some secret sauce at a later stage of the process that is less prone to examination, but could perhaps achieve a suppression effect.
