Cohen is almost universally hated in Tennessee, except for his minority Demwit Party constituents. In a just world he would have been lynched a long time ago.

His area is shelby county. Shelby county is controlled by Memphis. Memphis is controlled by the "folks" that live there and the "folks" don't want change. They want things to stay just like they have been since the garbage strikes. Cohen bends the knee to the "folks" and that's why he stays in office.
