Jimmy Carter … still in hospice? On ice? What event will they use his passing as the distraction?
🗣️ DISCUSSION 💬
No new news, crickets really. I’m of the opinion, he’s on ice.
They're saving him until it's official. He will be buried in a joint ceremony with the petro dollar.
Hospice is palliative care for persons with a life expectancy of 6 months or less. Typically, Medicare and other insurers will not pay beyond 6 months for hospice.
Exactly.
Carter went to hospice care in February?
Hospice just means maintenance and comfort care, no more aggressive care like chemo or surgery. Medicare and other insurers pay for some supplies and visits if a doctor says the patient meets certain qualifications. It isn't necessarily a place although some care facilities offer "hospice care." More of an insurance category. People can live a long time "in hospice."
Aunt and Uncle went on Hospice 5 years ago - still kicking
Exactly. My mom was in hospice a year and a half. Really, it's a good solution for some people who aren't going to get better but still have some life left.
But surely an ex-president isn’t on Medicare and doesn’t need free care, as he’s already getting it right?
Medicare isn't free! You pay a monthly fee based on income. You also pay for services not covered by Medicare. However, he probably is entitled to some medical care. What is it? Does that cover hospice?
It has been tooooo longgggg in the hospice. This is very strange.
