If there's a debris field it should be easy enough to find out if it ws recent or not (sediment). But if there's a debris 'field' instead of an imploded crushed vehicle, it makes me think booOOoom
The cylinder is made of carbon fiber; if it imploded, it would have fragmented and not just crumpled like a metal cylinder. There are other metal components that should be identifiable of course, but it's not gonna be in one piece.
idk if carbon fiber should be used for deep submarines.. sounds kind of stupid.
