I can't believe I'm saying this, but I really think Obama just misspoke.

He said "57 states, and one more to go" when he meant 47 plus one. Meaning 48. The 48 states in the continental US.

Obama is evil, yes. But slip-ups like this happen, even to Trump, who once accidentally said we're keeping Common Core.
