The left hates, and has hated, Walmart for decades and had a love affair with Target. Personally, I think some of that stems from the fact that Walmart hasn't went all-in on leftist causes (yes, they have some gay merch, but they aren't usually front and center and aren't, from what I've seen, targeting kids). They aren't necessarily "friends" of conservatives, but they also aren't friends of liberals, either.
I'm not saying Walmarts some great company, but for some items they're the best place to find things without supporting Target.
The Walmart in my town had a drag makeup display right in front of the main entrance for a while. I don't know how long it was there because I don't go there too often, and I don't go to the kids clothing section either.
I'm on the fence with Walmart, myself.
