I live in Hyde Park, NY. There is no airport where a flight path would be low over our house. I just heard a jet? (assume it's a jet) fly very low over our house. It was past before I could look. Anybody have any ideas on why there would be such a flight here?

I've seen a heavily loaded jumbo jet struggling to gain altitude (several hundred feet above the ground and ~25 miles from the airport) and shooting flames 75' out of one of the engines. The response, a few hours after reporting it, was flight crew reported everything was normal. That was BS, of course. Apparently some heavy jets are known to spit flames taking off, but this one was struggling to gain altitude, and was probably close to losing it.

Thanks for that link. I couldn't find any commercial flight that would explain it. I assume military flights aren't included with the flights shown on this site?
It's a bit of a long shot, but since it's based down on Long Island, I've seen this civilian owned fighter jet (from the link) up giving rides I presume, when I was watching adsbexchange.
