Unfortunately friendly fire is extremely common. We probably killed more of our own troops in Iraq than the Iraqis did.

Have we confirmed that the Wagner troops were attacked.

One thing I can imagine is that perhaps if the attack did happen they did it because they thought Prigozhin was going to be there and that's what set him off. That they made a move on him but missed so he made a move on them. total speculation
