I was running an m235 tuned to 400hp. Going into turn 1 where the wall he probably hit was it was rev limiting in third, about 110. I would guess a Mclaren (these guys don't mess with Porches) could be 130-140. Our group had a cone chicane set up on the back straight to keep speeds down. Without that they might have seen 150 there.
That's fast enough to get dead. I've got a S3 that I'm going to tune to stage 2 when I'm not spending money on other things. I don't drive it much.
My son has a tuned RS3 and it makes my car look like it's going backwards. HP is not expensive these days, misusing it can be.
He's probably getting about 450 out of it. That's about the safe limit of that engine without getting into non-daily driver territory. They are great cars. I had lots of BMWs, and switched over to Audi this go round. About 10k and the S3 will pump out about 400 HP plus some other mods. Gets it just under 4 seconds. HP to weight wins every time.
