Revelation 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

144,000 is symbolic of perfect government. Mount sion is symbolic of the power of kingship, mount Sion is where the king rules from.

The Lamb is the conquering One, Jesus Christ. Those who have the Father’s name written in their foreheads are ruled by God’s law, they follow only the Holy Spirit of God.

2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:

Many waters is the multitude of warriors that Follow Jesus Christ alone.

3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

The throne of God always designates the power and rule of God. Those governed by the power and rule of God have relationship with the Creator God and Jesus Christ our Lord through the New Spiritual Birth and the Holy Spirit that they follow.

4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

Not defiled by woman is symbolic of not spiritually following any false spirit, religion, or false doctrine, they are pure.

Following the Lamb withersoever he goeth is the order of the 144,000. 144,000 is not an exact number it is a symbolic number of those governed by the throne of God and Jesus Christ.
