How would Formaldehyde get in the air naturally? This has all gotten way out of hand.
As a breakdown product of something else, like burning plastic. Not exactly "natural," though.
Formaldehyde is an organic compound and is released naturally in many ways, including forest fires. Although it’s certainly not safe to be around in high levels.

Yes, I meant burning plastic isn't natural. Most natural ways wouldn't be overwhelmingly obvious.
