The DEVIL wears Prada (Meryl Streep).................."The symbols in The Devil Wears Prada begin with the title, where the devil is not only a symbol of cruelty, but also of temptation. Prada is highly symbolic since it began as a deliberately unattractive line of extremely expensive clothes meant for intellectuals who looked down on "prettiness." Therefore, Prada symbolically represents elitism, condescension, and wasteful wealth, as well as mockery of the consumer foolish enough to buy the clothes, a kind of "Emperor's New Clothes"
Again, with the mockery of the sheep. How we don't get it. We can buy all the clothes, music, jewelry, pursue money, position, and titles but ultimately as Dear George stated............."It's a BIG CLUB and you aren't in it."
So yes Mercy is too kind. They knowingly participate. SICK Not Hue Man.
Good article. I agree that a lot of the designers have the ugliest shit. Louis Vuitton comes to mind. Gucci too. Yet, if you list "anything" with those labels on auction sites, new or used, people pay ridiculous sums of money. It could be a keychain, bag, shoes, whatever. Doesn't matter. Sheep will buy it.
That may start to change as more of these atrocities start seeping out to the mainstream. Like the Balenciaga ad campaign.
