I watched his confirmation hearings live. The man, one of the smartest of my generation, was vilified and dragged through unbelievable depths of mud....all because he had the unmitigated gall to be a BLACK CONSERVATIVE. That's what's really galled them all of these years...that Justice Thomas dared leave the plantation. God bless him.
