Alexander never considered himself to be a god, but he certainly used the trappings of godhood when it was convenient for him to rule over a conquered populace as in Egypt.
He was well aware of his mortality and lived life knowing he only had so much time to accomplish his goals. Sad that drinking killed him so young, the world would have a been a much different place if the empire he started lasted a thousand years.

Like his one friend who he memorialized who ate like 3 or 4 whole roasted chickens at one feast and then died that night lol
Nothing in moderation when you think you might die at any time ends up killing a lot of warriors.

Most likely poisoned himself with a liver he obliterated, his drinking habits were horrific.
Wasn't it assassination that killed him, malaria being the official story but covering for assassination?
