Hmmmm.... Athena => practical reason, warfare. Considered urban as opposed to Artemis = rural.

Classical vs desert.

Easy how to finance a movie. You get government to be engaged in practical riot control, national security, loads of crisis actors, paid from the preparation budgets, and you let the subscribers pay.

Predictive? No. Simply, planned in advance.

Athena was important as the goddess of war, who could grant conquest and assist the Spartans in battle.

They've christened the hordes as the new Spartans (Aaa-Ooo) and see themselves cast in the role of the conquest granting goddess.
