If the CDC knew Ivermectin was not an effective treatment, they had an obligation to ban its use. However, if they knew or should have known it was an effective treatment they had no legal basis for granting the emergency use authorization for vaccines. It is one or the other. Thanks for gently pointing out my confusing CDC and FDA. Too many agencies for my old brain. I agree the medications at issue are safe and effective. I have a supply on hand and have used them several times. No vaccinations in the last 25 years.
The point I was trying to make is that in this trial, the government is now trying to imply they did not oppose use of the medications on safety or effective grounds but still granted an emergency use authorization for the vaccine.
