This is not BS. This is overhyping a natural phenomenon.
As we take over and dominate the Earth as God commanded us, we also terraform, creating lakes, gouging valleys and pits, and moving mountains.
This does have an effect on the planet. As mass shifts around, the rotation and tilt does too. This is why the 2011 Fukushima quake shifted the Earth's day. The fault line shift was so long as to change the rotation period significantly, about 3 milliseconds.
Of course, this has minimal, if any, long-term effects. The earth will adapt to the tiny changes and life will go on. The moon has 10 million times more effect on the Earth in a year than humanity has in its lifetime.
This is not a cause for concern, rather an interesting geologic phenomenon.
