Russia has been saying that Ukraine has been planning a nuclear accident to blame on them for a while now.

I’m sure they got all the details from a random dude on 4chan.

Correct, I believe a nuclear sniffer plane was moved to the region a couple of days ago, by NATO.

Maybe the point of this is to give it as much attention as possible, hoping that that deters the potential perpetrators.
